If the Canadian Anti-Hate Network is opposed to hate, what would endorsement look like?
And what is hate?
On January 11, witness a compelling screening of The Hate Network—a provocative documentary that asks a simple but urgent question: Is Canada still a free country?
This film highlights real-world stories of Canadians—including members of our own Parents of Waterloo Region (POWR)—who have faced legal and social consequences simply for speaking out, as increasingly Orwellian speech laws loom on the horizon. It also exposes how public funds are being used to support organizations such as the Canadian Anti-Hate Network, raising serious questions about what is being done in the name of “anti-hate,” who defines it, and at whose expense.
After the film, stay for a Q&A with POWR Professor David Haskell, Pastor Henry Hildebrandt, and Lawyer Caryma Sa’d—a discussion about free expression, legal risk, and the future of public discourse.
